On December 23, 2021, a meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic R. Kazakbaev with the heads of the Embassies of the Kyrgyz Republic, Permanent Missions of the Kyrgyz Republic to international organizations and Consulates General of the Kyrgyz Republic was held. At the meeting, Minister R. Kazakbaev summed up the results of the activities of the bodies of the diplomatic service of the Kyrgyz Republic in 2021, noting the contribution of the Ministry to leading the country out of the period of transitional political processes and the completion of the period of work in the anti-crisis regime.

Minister R. Kazakbaev stressed that in 2021 the Foreign Ministry continued to work on the implementation of the next Plans of anti-crisis measures and actions approved by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic S.Zhaparov. Summarizing the retrospective of what was achieved during the reporting period, Minister R.Kazakbaev gave generalized statistics: more than 1,350 events were held, among them 90 visits and foreign policy events at the highest, high and working levels, of which 12 state, official and working visits of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic S.Zhaparov, 17 visits of foreign delegations to Kyrgyzstan, more than 90 interstate agreements and documents, including Joint statements at the level of Heads of State, were worked out, determining the content and guidelines of the foreign policy component of the country's activities.

Significant results of the work of the bodies of the diplomatic service were the launch of development funds with Hungary, the UAE, Uzbekistan, as well as agreements on their creation with Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey.

Minister R.Kazakbaev also noted the contribution of diplomatic institutions to the implementation of the Action Plan approved by the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic "On priority measures for the restoration and development of border villages of Batken region" dated May 4, 2021 No. 113.

In conclusion, Minister R. Kazakbaev outlined the main directions of the Ministry's work for 2022, among which the promotion of the country's economic development is designated as the leading one. According to the National Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic adopted by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in October this year until 2026, the activities of diplomatic institutions should be focused on solving the tasks of economic diplomacy.
