From March 1, 2022, all arrivals in Japan (foreign citizens and Japanese citizens), in addition to providing a negative PCR test and additionally undergoing PCR testing at the port of arrival, undergo a mandatory 7-day home quarantine. If the result of the PCR test on the third day is negative, then in this case, home quarantine for the remaining period is no longer required.

A 3-day quarantine in a special quarantine zone will be applied to those entering from certain countries and regions where the Omicron virus strain has been identified.

The quarantine period will be reduced for those entering the country who have received their third vaccination:

• travelers from certain countries and regions where the Omicron virus strain has been identified require 3 days of home quarantine instead of 3 days of quarantine in a designated quarantine zone;

• Travelers from countries and regions where the Omicron virus strain has not been identified are not subject to home quarantine provided that they receive the 3rd vaccination.

It is allowed to use public transportation from the airport to home or other place for home quarantine within 24 hours after the PCR test upon arrival in Japan.

The PCR test in the country of departure should be based on a nasopharyngeal swab or saliva test. The results of a test based on an oropharyngeal swab alone will not be accepted. The certificate on paper must contain the following information in English: biomaterial for Nasopharyngeal swab (nasopharynx) or Saliva (saliva) study, full name, passport number, diagnostic method, date and time of the test, etc. .

New Zealand

 

Entry into New Zealand is permitted only for essential reasons.

Entry is allowed for certain categories of travelers

Exceptions due to border closures apply for important reasons, including travel for partners or family, critical workers and students. Travel for tourism purposes is prohibited. Arrivals must present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19 using a recognized vaccine. The last dose must be taken at least 14 days before arrival. Entry into New Zealand will only be open to fully vaccinated citizens with vaccines recognized by the New Zealand side (list of vaccines - https://covid19.trackvaccines.org/agency/who/):

Entry into Australia is permitted for fully vaccinated passengers of a certain category.

Persons not in the exempt category may apply for an individual exemption for study, essential work, or good cause. This must be done at least 2 weeks prior to travel at https://travel-exemptions.homeaffairs.gov.au/tep.

Vaccinated passengers are subject to quarantine measures determined by the state or territory visited in Australia. The quarantine requirements of each state or territory can be found at https://www.australia.gov.au/states

Upon arrival, proof of a negative PCR test within the previous 72 hours must also be provided. Alternatively, a negative rapid antigen test taken within the previous 24 hours may be presented.

Upon arrival, all passengers undergo a medical examination, including a temperature check and a visual assessment. Those who show symptoms of COVID-19 may need additional testing.

Philippines

Entry is allowed to certain categories of travelers.

Visa holders may be required to present a travel document from the visa issuing department. Tourist travel is prohibited without full vaccination. For more information on eligible travelers, please see the travel advisory at https://immigration.gov.ph/#advisory

Travelers must present a valid international certificate of full vaccination against COVID-19 using recognized vaccines. The last dose must be taken at least 14 days before entry. Unvaccinated travelers must undergo a 14-day quarantine upon arrival. Travelers will remain in a quarantine facility, while those who test negative on the fifth day can complete the remainder of the quarantine period at their place of residence.
