On October 19, 2022, in the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic to Japan meeting was held with the Kyrgyz film director Aktan Arym Kubat and producer of Studio-D Japan company Sano Shinju. 

At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of Kyrgyz-Japanese relations, as well as prospects for cooperation in the field of culture and cinematography.

A new film by Kyrgyz film director Aktan Arym Kubat "Esimde" has been invited to the competition program of the 35th Tokyo International Film Festival (Japan). The premiere screening of the film "Esimde" will take place on October 27 and 29 and November 1 in the capital of Japan.
