As part of the next humanitarian mission, on October 22, 2023, the special operation “Aikol-3” was successfully carried out to repatriate citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic staying in camps in the North-East Syria.

According to the tasks of the Head of State and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, on October 22, 2023, 21 women and 62 children, who are citizens of Kyrgyzstan, were delivered from Syria to Kyrgyzstan by the special flight.

The Kyrgyz side expresses special gratitude to the US Government for the full assistance and logistical support provided for the successful implementation of this repatriation event, as well as the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

As part of this mission, the Kyrgyz delegation also provided humanitarian aid with the necessary medicines for the needs of the population of the North-East Syria.
