Ambassador K. Omuraliev met with the Rector of the University named Inonu Ahmet Kyzylay, made acquainted with the activities of the hospital and library of the University of Inonu

On January 14-15, 2020, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev paid the working visit to Malatya.

As part of the trip, Ambassador K. Omuraliev met with the Rector of the University named Inonu Ahmet Kyzylay, made acquainted with the activities of the hospital and library of the University of Inonu. In common with Rector Ahmet Kyzylai Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev visited two juvenile patients from Kyrgyzstan who underwent liver transplant operations.

The parties agreed on the advisability of signing a bilateral protocol providing for academic cooperation and internships at a university hospital for doctors from Kyrgyzstan in order to gain experience in liver transplant operations, etc.

For reference: University named Inonu (2nd President of TR) in Malatya - one of the largest universities in Eastern Turkey, was founded in 1975 by the University named  Inonu is among the top 40 best universities in Turkey and a member of the European University Association (EUA). The number of teachers and management personnel of the University is 5700, the number of students is 45 thousand.

The University has a hospital specializing in liver transplant operations (the number of operations is 1st in Europe, 2nd in the world), kidneys, cancer, etc. In 2002-2006  there were performed 22 liver transplants operations, in 2019 - 277. The number of professors in the medical field – 130.
