On May 5, 2021, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with Deputy General Chairman of the ruling Justice and Development Party on the issues of Economic Affairs, Chairman of the Budget, and Planning Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Cevdet Yilmaz.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev informed about the armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border that took place on April 28-30, 2021, and the current situation in the border regions of Kyrgyzstan.

In turn, Cevdet Yilmaz expressed condolences in connection with the casualties and injuries among the civilian population of Kyrgyzstan and welcomed the efforts and actions of the Government to peacefully resolve the conflict and prevent further escalation of the conflict.
