The Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan Ulanbek Totuiaev met with the Chief Minister, Governor of Sindh Province of Pakistan and the Administrator of Karachi

On January 24, 2023, as part of a working visit to Karachi, bilateral meetings were held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan H.E. Mr. Ulanbek Totuiaev and the Chief Minister, Governor of Sindh Province of Pakistan and the Administrator of Karachi.

During the meeting of the Ambassador H.E. Mr. U.Totuiaev with the Governor of Sind Province H.E. Mr. Kamran Tessori, the parties discussed issues of intensifying Kyrgyz-Pakistani cooperation in the trade and economic sphere by creating joint ventures in the Kyrgyz Republic. The importance of strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties, organizing days of culture, sports and other events was emphasized.

Within the framework of the meeting of the Ambassador H.E. Mr. U.Totuiaev with the Administrator of Karachi, Syed Saif ur-Rehman, issues of establishing twin city relations with the cities of the Kyrgyz Republic, organizing access for Kyrgyz companies to the seaports of Karachi were discussed. The parties separately touched upon the issues of education, tourism and the opening of regular flights between Bishkek and Karachi.  They agreed to organize visits of business delegations to the Kyrgyz Republic and Karachi to build up business contacts.

The Ambassador H.E. Mr. U.Totuiaev announced plans to open a Trade House of Kyrgyzstan in Karachi.

On the same day, a meeting was held with the Chief Minister of Sindh, Muhammad Syed Ali Shah, where the parties discussed issues of export-import of various types of products and the establishment of investment cooperation. They noted the need to organize a visit of a delegation of state bodies of the province of Sindh to the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Ambassador H.E. Mr. U.Totuiaev provided the interlocutors with information on the trade, economic and investment potential of Kyrgyzstan, as well as on the existing preferences for investors, and called on Pakistani companies, including those operating in the fields of pharmaceuticals, agriculture, industry, and others, to actively use these opportunities. He invited the business community to participate in the Kyrgyz-Pakistani business forum, scheduled for the nearest months.
