On April 7, 2023, during the working visit of the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Italy, Taalai Bazarbaev, to the province of Catania, he met with Giovanni Cultrera, General Director of the Massimo Belini Opera House.

During the meeting, Ambassador T. Bazarbaev proposed to establish cooperation with the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic named after T. Satylganov and the Massimo Belini Opera House by signing an agreement on cooperation, as well as organizing an exchange of experience between artists, orchestras and conductors and mutual tours to establish and expand Kyrgyz-Italian cultural ties.

In turn, G.Cultrera expressed his readiness to consider this issue in a positive way and implement joint projects with the Kyrgyz side in the field of culture and art.

For reference: the Massimo Belini Opera House was built in 1890 according to the design of the Milanese architect K. Sad. The theater is represented by an orchestra of 105 people, a choir of 84, as well as a large group of stage technicians and stage design workshops.
