On May 13, 2022, during of working trip to the Elazig, Ambassador Kubanychbek Omuraliev met with the Governor of the province Ömer Toraman and the Mayor of the city Şahin Şerifoğulları.

The parties noted the need to expand trade, economic and investment cooperation between the countries, particularly at the regional level. Within the framework of the development of regions of Kyrgyzstan, the establishment of closer cooperation and the exchange of experience, the parties agreed to establish twinning relations between Elazig and one of the cities of Kyrgyzstan and organize mutual visits of heads of local authorities, business circles, cultural figures and scientific circles.

At the end of the meeting, Ambassador Omuraliev expressed request to the head of local authorities to provide maximum assistance to the citizens of Kyrgyzstan in their comfortable stay.
