Nuran Niyazaliev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, received copies of credentials from Henri Vantieghem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium

On December 1, 2021, Nuran Niyazaliev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, received copies of credentials from Henri Vantieghem, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Belgium.

After the official ceremony of presenting the copies of credentials, the parties discussed issues of further strengthening friendly relations between Kyrgyzstan and Belgium. Parties emphasized deepening political dialogue and intensifying mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, investments, economic, humanitarian and cultural fields. They noted significant potential for building business partnerships, as well as interaction on green energy, tourism, and environmental protection issues. The Belgian side expressed interest in expanding cooperation in the field of education.

The Kyrgyz side proposed to expedite the consideration of previously developed draft documents on cooperation in health care, agriculture, investment promotion and protection, education and science, culture, sports, tourism and environmental protection.

Special attention was paid to the events planned as part of the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries, including high-level visits in 2022. The parties confirmed their mutual disposition to continue the development of the entire complex of Kyrgyz-Belgian relations.

At the end of the conversation, First Deputy Minister Niyazaliev congratulated Ambassador Vantieghem on his appointment and wished him success in his honorable mission.
