On 11 February, 2021 Nuran Niyazaliev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic received Shadurdy Meredov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic.

During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on the state and prospects of the Kyrgyz-Turkmen bilateral cooperation, noted the importance of further strengthening of the strategic partnership and interaction between the Kyrgyz Republic and Turkmenistan in political, diplomatic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Also they discussed the issues of deepening trade and economic cooperation, the transport sector and the implementation of infrastructure projects, including trade, investment and energy supplies.

Particular attention was paid to the preparation and holding of bilateral and multilateral events at the highest and high levels.
