On 13th December, 2019, the Consulate General of Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul participated in the event of the Kyrgyz Culture Day at the Istanbul University.

This event was opened with a photo and books exhibition dedicated to the writer Chyngyz Aitmatov, and with the display of the decorative and applied arts of the Kyrgyz culture.

The Kyrgyz Culture Day was also accompanied by a concert program of the national folklore music, recitation of the epic Manas, a theatrical play of Aimatov's work «Mother's Field» and a video clip about investment and tourism opportunities of Kyrgyzstan.

The event was attended by the Rector of Istanbul University, Prof. Doc Mahmut Ak, Director of the International Student Center Faruk Taşçı, Vice - Consul of the Consulate General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul, Aziz Adanov, academic staff, students and residents of Istanbul.
