On April 22, 2024, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Avazbek Atakhanov paid a call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh Dr. Hasan Mahmud. The Deputy Kyrgyz Foreign Minister arrived in Dhaka to participate in the First political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

Deputy Minister A. Atakhanov expressed gratitude for the invitation of the Kyrgyz delegation, as well as for a warm hospitality.

The Parties exchanged views on the current state of Kyrgyz-Bangladeshi relations and discussed their future opportunities and prospects.

Deputy Minister A. Atakhanov highlighted the interest of the Kyrgyz Republic in intensifying Kyrgyz-Bangladeshi relations and reaching a qualitatively new level, which would meet the long-term interests of the two countries. He noted with satisfaction that during the consultations the parties discussed in detail all the issues that are on the agenda of mutual cooperation in both bilateral and multilateral formats.

The Parties paid special attention to intensifying of economic diplomacy and cultural and humanitarian ties between the two countries and expanding the legal framework.

The fruitful interaction of the two countries on the platforms of multilateral organizations was highly appreciated, the Parties also noted similar positions and mutual understanding on current issues on the international agenda.

The outcome of the meeting was that the Parties agreed to intensify the dynamics of mutual visits, hold various bilateral events at the highest and high levels, as well as in business sphere.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh Dr. Hassan Mahmud expressed gratitude to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Zheenbek Kulubaev for his congratulations on the occasion of his appointment and the successful holding of parliamentary elections in Bangladesh and expressed his readiness to further expand and strengthen Kyrgyz-Bangladeshi relations.

During the meeting, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic A. Atakhanov conveyed the Message by the Minister Zh. Kulubaev addressed to the Head of the Foreign Ministry of Bangladesh.
