On 7 May 2024, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Aibek Moldogaziev, met with the Secretary-General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-building Measures in Asia (CICA), Kairat Sarybay.

During the meeting, CICA Secretary-General Kairat Sarybay provided information on the ongoing efforts to transform the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia into a full-fledged international organization.

The preparations for high-level events in Astana in 2024 and the work done by the Conference bodies were also noted. The Deputy Minister Aibek Moldogaziev expressed support for the efforts of the Secretary-General of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-building Measures in Asia and highly appreciated the priorities of Kazakhstan's Chairmanship in this organization aimed at the institutional development of the Meeting. He also expressed confidence that Kazakhstan's Chairmanship in the CICA contributes to the expansion of cooperation between member states, will raise the status of the forum in the international arena, and will also play a positive role in stimulating economic development and security cooperation in the Asian region.
