On May 9, 2024, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Germany Mr. Omurbek Tekebaev took part in wreath-laying ceremonies at the memorials to fallen Soviet soldiers in Tiergarten and Treptower Park (Berlin), on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

On this day, Ambassador Mr. Omurbek Tekebaev, together with the ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, as well as representatives and military attaches of other foreign states, honored the memory of the fallen Soviet soldiers in the Great Patriotic War with a minute of silence.

As part of the event, the ambassadors of Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan read the Quran for the fallen Soviet soldiers.
