Since August 1, 2011 the Kyrgyz Republic has acceded to the 1961 Hague Convention abolishing the requirement of foreign official documents legalization, which are parties to this Convention.

Since accession to this Convention, French documents apostilled by the relevant authorities of the French Republic are recognized on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic without additional certification by the Embassy, as France is also a party to the above mentioned Convention.

          In France, only documents Apostilled by the Ministry of Justice of the Kyrgyz Republic are recognized. The Embassy has no authority to carry out apostille procedures.
