The Permanent Mission of the KR to the United Nations Office in Geneva participated at the meeting of the member states of the Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia of the UN Economic Commission for Europe

On September 18, 2020, the Permanent Mission of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United Nations Office in Geneva participated at the meeting of the member states of the Special Program for the Economies of Central Asia (SPECA) of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).

At the meeting, which was attended by the UNECE's Executive Secretary Madame Olga Algayerova and Permanent Representatives of the SPECA member states in Geneva (includes all Central Asian states, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan), Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Daniiar Mukashev reflected on the current chairmanship of Kyrgyzstan in SPECA and touched upon SPECA Economic Forum 2020 as well as other events scheduled to take place in the second half of November 2020 in virtual format under the chairmanship of our country.

During the meeting, the participants also exchanged views and information on the UNECE's initiative to establish a SPECA Trust Fund aimed at financing projects in the field of economic cooperation between SPECA's member states.

All participants also noted the importance of continuing regional economic cooperation within the framework of SPECA.
