Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic Du Dewen

On May 8, 2021, meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Kyrgyz Republic Du Dewen was held in the Ministry of foreign affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in the run-up to his official visit to the People's Republic of China within the framework of participation in the Second Meeting of Foreign Ministers in the «Central Asia-China» format (from May 10, 2021 to May 12, 2021, city of Xi’an).

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on topical issues of bilateral relations, as well as the agenda of upcoming talks between the heads of foreign affairs agencies of the two countries.

Chinese Ambassador Du Dewen expressed deepest condolences to the families and relatives of those killed during the events on the Kyrgyz-Tajik section of the state border. She also noted that the PRC as a reliable strategic partner of the Kyrgyz Republic, welcomes the efforts made by the leadership of Kyrgyzstan to resolve the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border by peaceful means to maintain peace and stability in the region. The Chinese side hoped that the early achievement of peace and stability would  be ensured through diplomatic efforts and negotiations.
