Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand Don Pramudwinai

On September 23, 2021, in New York on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand Don Pramudwinai.

The parties discussed the current state and prospect of mutual bilateral cooperation.

R. Kazakbaev made a proposal to establish a Kyrgyz-Thai intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

The foreign ministries agreed to enquire the possibility of expanding legal framework, as well as to expedite the consideration of draft agreements that are being examined by the parties in the field of agriculture, health care, culture, education, environmental protection and sports.

Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev requested to consider the possibility of an early ratification of the Agreement between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand «On air service» and the signing of an Agreement between the parties «On visa exemption for holders of diplomatic and official passports».

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to maintain contacts on a number of key issues of cooperation.
