Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Mr. Zheenbek Kulubaev met with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Kyrgyz Republic Ms. Louise Chamberlain on July 5, 2023 on the occasion of completion of her mission in Kyrgyzstan.

Minister noted that Louise Chamberlain, as Permanent Representative, contributed to strengthening the interaction of the Kyrgyz Republic with UNDP, ensured constructive cooperation in sustainable development, protection of human rights, gender equality, development of democratic institutions, strengthening the rule of law, health, food security, adaptation to climate change, etc. Minister thanked UNDP for the assistance provided in ensuring the socio-economic development of the country, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and after the political crisis of October 2020, as well as during the tragic Batken events.

Permanent Representative briefly summed up her mission in the Kyrgyz Republic, noting that her activities were aimed at supporting the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, state bodies and the population of the country, especially during the difficult period of various challenges and problems. Louise Chamberlain thanked all partners in Kyrgyzstan, especially the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic for the constant support of UNDP activities in the country.

At the end of the meeting Minister Zheenbek Kulubaev expressed gratitude for mutually beneficial cooperation and wished her further success in his professional activities.
