Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ulukbek Maripov took part in an official reception organized on behalf of the King of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Majesty Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud in Mecca.

This high-level event was held with the participation of heads and high-ranking officials of foreign states, heads of diplomatic missions, prominent Islamic figures and scientists, as well as heads of pilgrimage delegations, who arrived to perform the Hajj.

During the reception, Ambassador U.Maripov met with His Royal Highness Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, and congratulated the leadership and people of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of the Eid al-Adha holiday on behalf of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic S.N. Zhaparov. Appreciation was also expressed for the high level of organization of the Hajj. Also, on behalf of the leadership of the republic, gratitude was expressed for the high level of organization of the hajj.

Ambassador U.Maripov, as part of his working trip to Mecca, held meetings with Kyrgyz pilgrims and members of the republican headquarter for the organization of the Hajj, where he got acquainted with the conditions of their stay.

During the meeting, the Kyrgyz pilgrims expressed their gratitude to the leadership of the Kyrgyz Republic and the organizers of the Hajj.

For reference: In 2023, more than 6,000 pilgrims arrived in Saudi Arabia from the Kyrgyz Republic to perform Hajj.
