On December 2, 2021, on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Stockholm, Foreign Minister Ruslan Kazakbaev has a bilateral meeting with the Foreign Minister of Serbia Nikola Selakovic.

The parties discussed topical issues of developing bilateral cooperation. Minister Selakovich expressed his readiness to visit Kyrgyzstan in 2022 in order to intensify bilateral cooperation.

Minister Kazakbaev mark the importance of expanding the legal framework between the countries and submitted to the serbian side for consideration draft agreements in different field and draft of Roadmap for cooperation between the Kyrgyzstan and Serbia for 2022-2025.

The parties also expressed interest in the developing economic cooperation, including taking into account the transport projects being implemented in the region.

Within the framework of the existing interaction at multilateral platforms, the Serbian side supported the international initiatives of the Kyrgyz Republic.
