Gyeonggi Province Fire Service handed over 4 units of ambulances and special equipment for medical personnel to Kyrgyzstan

Following the agreements reached between the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the National Fire Agency of the Republic of Korea, on October 19, 2022, the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Korea Mrs. Aida Ismailova took part in the ceremony of donating 4 units of ambulances and equipment for medical personnel to Kyrgyzstan from the Gyeonggi Province Fire Service.

During the ceremony, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic expressed her gratitude for the provision of technical assistance for effective response to emergencies. In addition, taking into account the advanced experience of the Korean Fire Service in responding to emergencies and the availability of modern technologies for eliminating the consequences of emergencies, she expressed interest in continuing cooperation in the training and retraining of specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of fire safety.

In turn, the Head of the Accounting Department of the Fire Service of Gyeonggi Province, Mr. Kim Seung Woo, said that the Korean side intends to deepen cooperation with the Fire Service of Kyrgyzstan, as well as organize trainings for employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic on the use of modern fire engines and ambulances. He also informed that the technical assistance provided will be delivered to the Kyrgyz Republic free of charge.

For reference: With the assistance of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Korea, in 2021, the Fire Service of Korea handed over 2 ambulances and 2 fire engines to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.
