On September 5, 2019 in Ankara, a gala reception was held dedicated to the 28th Anniversary of the independence of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The event was attended by Minister of Sports and Youth of Turkey M.Kasapoglu, Chief Advisor to the President of Turkey Y. Topchu, members of the Turkish Parliament, headed by the Head of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey S.Ozturk, President of TIKA S. Kayalar, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey S.Cham, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors accredited in Ankara, heads of other cities, representatives of ministries and departments of Turkey, Heads of international and public organizations and business structures, Kyrgyz students, and the media representatives, as well as representatives of the Kyrgyz diaspora living in Turkey.

The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkey K.Omuraliev and the Minister of Sports and Youth of Turkey M.Kasapoglu made a welcoming speech.      

In his speech, Ambassador K. Omuraliev noted the dynamics of bilateral cooperation, as well as the importance of developing existing bilateral strategic cooperation.

In turn, the Minister of Sports and Youth of Turkey M.Kasapoglu noted that from the moment of independence of Kyrgyzstan to the present day, Turkey has supported a brotherly and friendly country in democratic and economic development.

Within the framework of the event, paintings and reproductions of the Kyrgyz nature were presented to the guests, as well as videos about Kyrgyzstan were shown.
