Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Ahmed Nasser Al Sabah

On September 24, 2021, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslan Kazakbaev met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Ahmed Nasser Al Sabah.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of Kyrgyz-Kuwait cooperation and outlined plans for the preparation and implementation of the "road map" for enhancing bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.

The Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Kuwait stressed the importance of organizing visits at high and highest levels, including the visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov to Kuwait.

The parties noted with satisfaction the opening of direct flights between Bishkek and Kuwait in June this year.

In the context of the development of bilateral cooperation, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ruslan Kazakbaev suggested holding a regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, interministerial consultations and signing agreements in the field of agriculture and healthcare. In turn, the head of the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry expressed an opinion on the need to use the transport and logistic potential of the region to increase trade between the countries.

The parties also discussed the situation in Afghanistan, emphasized common visions for building a peaceful, secure and stable Afghanistan.

The Kuwaiti Foreign Minister invited the Minister to pay an official visit to Kuwait.
