On May 3, 2019 in Doha, the State of Qatar, with the assistance of local authorities, for the first time was organized the march "immortal regiment", timed to the national holiday of May 9 - Victory Day.

Representatives of diasporas and embassies of the CIS countries, including the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as other states took part in the march.

Dozens of representatives of Kyrgyzstan carried portraits of Kyrgyzstan heroes of the Soviet Union, as well as their ancestors who fought on the margins of the Great Patriotic War.

In the framework of the event, were performed popular songs and musics dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.

The activists of the march "Immortal Regiment" agreed to create an organizing committee for holding events in the State of Qatar to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War next year (1941-1945).
