On March 28-29, 2023, the international conference "Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue" ("BETD-2023" – Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue) is being held in Berlin.

The conference is attended by ministers of energy, ministers of foreign affairs, as well as various organizations and experts from more than 60 countries. From the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Federal Republic of Germany, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany Omurbek Tekebaev took part in the conference.

On March 28, the opening ceremony of the conference was held with the participation of Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Annalena Baerbock and President of Kenya William Ruto. The head of the German Foreign Ministry in her speech noted the need for a massive transition to renewable energy sources needed to fight the climate crisis and for economic development.

The conference also hosts panel discussions on energy issues.
