There was held the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev with Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs under the President of the Republic of Turkey Professor Ali Erbash

On October 10, 2019, there was held the meeting of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev with Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs under the President of the Republic of Turkey Professor Ali Erbash.

At the meeting, the parties discussed cooperation between the two countries on issues of religion and religious education. In particular, Ambassador Omuraliev noted that the Turkish grant in the amount of 5 million US dollars allocated to the Iyiman Foundation of the Kyrgyz Republic was aimed at implementing projects on training, increasing the potential and level of education of imams, issuing scholarships, creating an information portal InsanKG, etc during 2015-2019.

K.Omuraliev also informed regarding the planned projects of the Yyman Foundation for 2019-2022 on the study of the religious situation in Kyrgyzstan, the reform of religious education in madrasah, educational and material support for Kyrgyz student in abroad and raised the issue of allocating the second tranche of the Turkish grant in the amount of 5 million US dollars to the Yyman Foundation.            A. Erbash noticed that this issue will be resolved after consultations with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and approval of the President of the Republic of Turkey.
