Within his official trip to Geneva to attend the High-Level Segment of the United Nations Human Rights Council the Minister of Foreign affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. Zheenbek Kulubaev met with the Executive director of the International Trade Center Ms. Pamela Coke Hamilton on March 1, 2023.

Minister Kulubaev outlined three areas of cooperation with the ITC, which Kyrgyz side considers as a priority: the development of a creative economy, cooperation in the field of debt for "green" projects, sustainable mountain development. He informed about the details of the measures which the Kyrgyz side is currently undertaking in these three areas

Minister Kulubaev emphasized the importance of the ITC's practical support for the development of a creative economy in Kyrgyzstan and the exchange of debt for "green" initiatives. In the context of sustainable mountain development, he requested the ITC to conduct a study on the integration of mountain regions in world trade and issue respective report. He also informed about the initiative of Kyrgyzstan to implement a project to create "Centers for Innovation and Advanced Technologies" in mountainous countries to support business and farming and requested for support in the practical implementation of this initiative.
