A meeting of coal mining companies from the south of Kyrgyzstan and interested importing companies from the border regions of Uzbekistan was held in Osh.

On July 19, 2022, at the initiative of the Plenipotentiary Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in the OJB regions, the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Osh region and the establishment of the “Osh regional branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic”, an expanded meeting of coal mining companies from the southern regions of the Kyrgyz Republic was held with the participation of representatives of companies from the border regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan, carrying out and interested in the import of coal.

This event was held as part of the implementation of the agreements reached between the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhaparov and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aripov within the framework of the Fourth meeting of the Council of Plenipotentiaries of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the border regions and khokims of the border regions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

A welcoming speech was made by the head of the institution of the "Osh regional branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic" Pazylov, the deputy plenipotentiary of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Osh region Manapov and the head Plenipotentiary Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in the OJB regions Apyshov, as well as representatives of the state enterprise «Kyrgyzkomur»Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan and JSC "Uzbekugol".

During this event, issues of establishing direct business contacts between Kyrgyz coal mining companies and Uzbek coal importers, solving problematic aspects of quality certification, expanding transport corridors, organized supplies, as well as concluding mutually beneficial contracts were discussed.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue organizing meetings in this format.
