The Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Korea, together with T’way airline, is working on the issue of increasing the number of Bishkek-Seoul flights to 3 times a week

On January 29, 2024, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Korea, A. Ismailova, and the President of T’way Airlines, Yong Hong Kyung. During the meeting, the parties positively assessed the opening of direct flights between two countries in 2023.
Ambassador A. Ismailova noted the increase in passenger traffic, a significant part of which was carried by T’way airline. She emphasized the interest of the Kyrgyz side in increasing the  number of flights and increasing passenger traffic in general. She also proposed to consider the issue of opening direct flights on the Seoul-Osh route, as well as opening a transit flight to Europe through International Manas airport.
Yong Hong Kyung, in turn, expressed gratitude to the Embassy for the assistance provided in opening direct flights and active work un increasing passenger traffic between the two countries. He noted that the Korean side is currently considering the issue of increasing the number of flights to 3 times a week from May 14, 2024.
For reference: In 2023, T’way Airlines served about 5 thousand passengers on the Bishkek-Seoul route.
