Mr. B.Otunbaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic met with Dr. Josephine Olsen, Director of the Peace Corps

On April 18, 2019, Mr. Bolot Otunbaev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the USA met with Dr. Josephine Olsen, Director of the Peace Corps at the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the United States.

Ambassador B. Otunbaev praised the activities of the Peace Corps in our country, which lasts for more than 25 years and is aimed at teaching English not only schoolchildren, but also teachers.

The head of the diplomatic mission B.Otunbaev positively noted the work of volunteers with students of schools in Kyrgyzstan, thanks to it a large number of our students study in the United States through exchange programs.

The Kyrgyz side welcomed the decision of the Peace Corps to send another group of volunteers to the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as their plans to develop cooperation for the near and long term, including increasing the number of volunteers to the Kyrgyz Republic.

For maintaining the fruitful work of the Kyrgyz side with the Peace Corps, , Director D. Olsen was presented to Ambassador B. Otunbaev the official emblem of the organization.
