Due to the appointment of Bolot Otunbaev as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the USA, a number of his bilateral meetings with heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states in the USA were held during the period of February and April 2019. In particular, Ambassador Otunbaev paid courtesy visits to the Ambassadors of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus (chargé d'affaires a.i.), Georgia, Kazakhstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

During the meetings parties exchanged views on various aspects of cooperation on both bilateral and multilateral bases, on the current state and prospects of relations with the USA, as well as on interaction between the heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states in Washington, DC.

Underlining the importance and usefulness of such meetings, parties agreed to exchange views on a regular basis and share experience on various issues of cooperation.
