Ambassador Baktybek Amanbaev presented his credentials to the Governor General of Canada Mary Simon as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Canada with the residence in Washington.

The presentation ceremony of the credentials took place on September 25, 2023, at the official residence of the Governor General of Canada, Mary Simon, in Ottawa. During the solemn ceremony, Mary Simon delivered an official speech, informed the attendees about Canada's foreign policy priorities and called on participants to collaborate in addressing significant global challenges. Mary Simon also emphasized Canada's interest in further enhancing and developing bilateral cooperation with all countries with which it has diplomatic relations, called on the newly appointed ambassadors to work in this direction.

On the same day, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Canada Baktybek Amanbaev was personally received by the Governor General of Canada. During the meeting, Baktybek Amanbaev noted that the leadership of the country, under the leadership of President Sadyr Zhaparov, is keen on comprehensive development of Kyrgyz-Canadian bilateral relations. He promised close cooperation with the government of Canada to elevate Kyrgyz-Canadian relations to a new level in trade, economics, culture and humanitarian ties.

After listening to Ambassador Baktybek Amanbaev's proposals for improving bilateral relations, Governor General Mary Simon wished the newly appointed ambassador success in his diplomatic activity.
