On September 25, 2023, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Canada Baktybek Amanbaev met with the Director General of the Bureau of Circumpolar, European and Eurasian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada R.Sinclair, as well as the Director of the Bureau of Eastern European and Eurasian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada A.Weichart. During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of improving bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Baktybek Amanbaev noted that there are great opportunities for comprehensive improvement of political-diplomatic, socio-economic, cultural and humanitarian relations between the two countries, and presented specific proposals for joint work in this direction.

During the meeting, representatives of the Canadian party noted that they are interested in developing bilateral relations with the countries of Central Asia, including Kyrgyzstan, and shared their views on joint work in this direction. The parties also exchanged views on organizing visits of high-level officials to the Kyrgyz Republic and Canada in the near future in order to improve bilateral cooperation to a new level.

The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere, the parties agreed on further joint work.
