On June 16, 2020 Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States Bolot Otunbaev spoke on the phone to Deputy Assistant Administrator of USAID Javier Piedra and discussed current issues of cooperation and program activities of USAID in Kyrgyzstan. The participants of the conversation emphasized the importance of timely financial and technical assistance of USAID for Kyrgyzstan, aimed first of all at overcoming the consequences of COVID-19 and supporting the efforts of the Kyrgyz side in relieving international financial obligations of the Kyrgyz Republic. The parties expressed their readiness to boost cooperation and facilitate the implementation of projects in the real sector of the Kyrgyz economy and the development of trade and economic relations with the involvement of American companies with new technologies and modern production in the country.
