On March 4th, 2021 the Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul Nurlan Abdrakhmanov visited Bursa, wherehe met with the Governor of Bursa, Mr. Yakub Canbolat and the acting Mayor of Bursa, Mr. Suleyman Celik.

Parties emphasized warm and brotherhood relations between countries and expressed their intentions to further enhance cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey on the fields of trade, economy and culture, which were affected by the restrictions imposed during the coronavirus pandemic.

They also exchanged views on the implementation of bilateral agreements reached during the visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Kyrgyzstan in 2018. 

Moreover, Turkish side expressed its commitment to host this year in Iznik town (Bursa Province) 2021 World Nomad Games, which was postponed in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

Abovementioned meetings were held in a cordial and warm atmosphere.
