On March 10, 2021, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. Ruslan Kazakbaev held the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey H.E. Mr. Mevlut Cavusoglu, who arrived in the Kyrgyz Republic on an official visit.

The Foreign Ministers of the two countries held the 4^th Meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Group between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Turkey and discussed actual issues of the Kyrgyz-Turkish agenda, interaction due to the COVID-19 pandemic, current joint projects in the field of health and education.

During the talks, special attention was paid to the issues of the 5^th Meeting of High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Turkey and the 10^th Meeting of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, planned in 2021.

At the same time, an exchange of views took place on current cooperation and strengthening of interaction between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey within the Turkic Council (Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States/CCTSS).

The Parties noted with satisfaction the high level of the Kyrgyz-Turkish relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats.

Following the bilateral talks, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Turkey signed the Program of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs for 2021-2022 and adopted the Joint Statement.

The joint press conference with the participation of the Heads of the Foreign Ministries of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Turkey was held for representatives of the Kyrgyz and Turkish media.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey H.E. Mr. Mevlut Cavusoglu was also received by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. Sadyr Zhaparov and the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Mr. Ulukbek Maripov within the official visit.
