On March 19, 2021, Consul General of the Kyrgyz Republic in Istanbul N. Abdrakhmanov held a meetings between Deputy Governors of Istanbul Province for International Cooperation Mrs. Özlem Bozkurt and for Security Affairs Mr. Mehmet Ali Özyiğit.

During the meetings, parties discussed and exchanged views on further development of bilateral cooperation, including migration issues of Kyrgyz citizens in Turkey and cultural - humanitarian cooperation. Moreover, while there will be lockdowns on weekends in Turkey, parties reached an agreement on creating proper conditions for Kyrgyz citizens to participate in the voting on April 11, 2021 (Referendum). 

In the end, Governorship and the Consulate General reached an agreement on enhancing further close cooperation.
