On February 22, a meeting was held between the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ukraine I.Kadyrkulov and the General Director of the UKRSORGO company, Ph.D. Y. Bardin, who, based on his own patented technology, in 2018 set a world record for sorghum yield (on dry land 14.4 tons/ha) according to the organic scheme.

The parties discussed the possibility of introducing this type of crop in the agricultural sector of Kyrgyzstan using Ukrainian technology.

I. Kadyrkulov noted that taking into account the gradual severe drought and the persistence of a hot climate in Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz farmers are forced to look for new drought-resistant crops in order to obtain high yields.

During the meeting, J. Bardin spoke about the features of his technology and its application to other row crops of the agricultural sector: corn, sunflower, soybeans, beans, rapeseed, safflower.

As a result of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to assist in the opening of the Sorghum Seed Center and its implementation in Kyrgyzstan.
