Important information about crossing the Ukranian border

By the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 22, 2021 No. 230, amendments were made to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 9, 2020 No. 1236.

From March 24, 2021, without exception, all foreign citizens, regardless of the country of arrival, to enter Ukraine need to have an insurance policy (certificate, certificate) issued by an insurance company registered in Ukraine, and covering the costs associated with the treatment of COVID-19, observation, and valid for the entire period of stay in Ukraine.

As well as a negative test result for COVID-19 by the polymerase chain reaction method, which was carried out no more than 72 hours before crossing the state border (the mandatory presence of a PCR test for coronavirus does not apply to foreigners and stateless persons permanently residing in Ukraine; people in need in a refuge; people who are representatives of diplomatic organizations or international missions accredited in Ukraine).
To cross the Ukrainian border, citizens of Ukraine need to have a negative PCR test, which was carried out a maximum of 48 hours before entry. In the absence of a test, a Ukrainian must install the Vdoma application and go on a 14-day self-isolation. It is possible to complete self-isolation early in the event of a negative PCR test result.

The test is not needed for children under 12 years of age.
For foreign citizens, there is no opportunity to take a PCR test in Ukraine or go for self-isolation. In the absence of a test and / or insurance policy, crossing the state border for entry or transit will be refused.
