On May 30, 2022, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Bulgaria with a residence in the city of Kyiv met with the Director of the Directorate for Foreign Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Economy and Industry D. Kostadinova.

The Embassy provided detailed information on the ongoing work to provide preferences to foreign investors, the liberalization of tax and customs requirements, the investment climate, the development of small and medium-sized businesses in Kyrgyzstan.

The parties expressed mutual interest in intensifying bilateral relations in the trade and economic sphere.

The Bulgarian Side expressed its readiness to consider draft agreements aimed at intensifying trade and economic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as the creation of an intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation.

The Sides also discussed further plans for trade and economic cooperation, expressed their readiness to create a permanent platform for establishing and expanding direct contacts between the business circles of the two countries through industry business forums and tourism fairs.

In Eastern Europe, Bulgaria leads in the development of the agricultural and tourism industries, which are the country's main and budget-forming sectors of the economy.
