President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov participated in the opening of the Altyn Balalyk Children's Rehabilitation Center in Cholpon-Ata

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, during his working visit to the Issyk-Kul region opened the Altyn Balalyk health and rehabilitation complex in Cholpon-Ata, which began its work after reconstruction.

The center is located on the northern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul with an area of 19.5 thousand square meters, taking into account the climatic and balneological conditions, as it is designed to restore and strengthen the health of children.

The center has a department of children's somatics including rehabilitation help to children with orthopedic, cardiologic, allergic, pulmonologic, surgical and neurologic diseases.

There is a cardiac surgery center equipped with an echocardiograph and an operating room and intensive care unit.

The complex is currently hosting 194 children, including those in need of rehabilitation and those who have come for a summer camp vacation.

The President noted that until September 15, this complex will be attended by children from low-income families from different parts of the country. Every ten days, 250 children will be accepted. Another goal has been reached - the Altyn Balalyk recreational and rehabilitation complex has been opened.

The Head of State also noted with satisfaction the hard work of the builders who had carried out the construction and reconstruction of this complex.

During the tour of the wards, dormitories, clinical laboratories and food production facilities the Head of the State also talked to the children and their parents.

He noted that this recreational complex would be transformed into a medical center with ultramodern equipment.

Then the head of state and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubayev planted thuja seedlings in the territory of the Altyn Balalyk recreational and rehabilitation center.

The start of construction of the Kambarata HPS-1 was given

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov gave a start to the construction of Kambarata HPS-1 in Jalal-Abad region.

Sadyr Japarov pressed the button on the control panel on live TV, after which there was an explosion, symbolizing the start of large-scale construction.

At the moment there is a prepared part of the infrastructure - bases, roads, quarries on the site of the station construction. The 500 kilovolt high voltage line "Datka-Kemin" is located nearby. This will allow Kambarata HPS-1 to bear the lowest costs for the power delivery scheme.

"Due to the construction of Kambarata HPS-1 the issues of power supply to the population of the republic during winter period will be solved. In future the growth of electricity consumption in the country will be met and the export potential within the CASA-1000 project will be ensured."

Kambarata HPS-1 will be the largest energy facility of the whole cascade of Kambarata HPS’s. The project provides for the construction of a 256 meters high rock-fill dam and the plant itself with an installed capacity of 1,860 megawatts. The Kambarata HPS-1 will produce an average of 5.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity with a full reservoir volume of 5.4 billion cubic meters of water.

The construction period is from 8 to 10 years. Commissioning of the first hydroelectric unit of the HPS is planned in four years.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev participated in the opening of the Altyn Balalyk Children's Rehabilitation Center in Cholpon-Ata

On June 1, International Children's Day, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov inaugurated the Altyn Balalyk Children's Rehabilitation Center in Cholpon-Ata, on the shore of blessing lake Issyk-Kul. The Children Rehabilitation Center consists of three floors and is divided into 10 blocks and will receive 250 children every 10 days.

There will be treatment and rehabilitation, recreation departments, clinical and diagnostic laboratory and boarding house for children and parents on the territory of the complex.

A cardiac surgery center equipped with echocardiograph is planned.

Children from different regions, including from low-income families, will have rest and treatment at the center.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev attended the opening ceremony and planted a "MFA" tree in one of the main alleys of the complex.

President Sadyr Japarov received the UN Deputy Secretary General Amina Mohammed

 

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov met with the United Nations (UN) Deputy Secretary General Amina Mohammed.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on topical issues of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the UN.

The head of state warmly welcomed the guest and congratulated her on her reappointment to the post of UN Deputy Secretary General and wished her further success in her high position.

The president noted the important role of the organization in ensuring peace and security, solving global socio-economic problems and making important decisions on topical issues of the world agenda.

He emphasized the appointment of a new regional coordinator of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office in Central Asia, strengthening its mandate to coordinate projects and programs in view of the Joint Plan of Action under the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy for Central Asia and the growing terrorist threats.

The head of state also highlighted Kyrgyzstan's initiative, adopted at the 76th session of the UN General Assembly on December 16, 2021 to declare 2022 as the International Year of Sustainable Mountain Development.

"This year, the Kyrgyz Republic proposed and began to promote a draft resolution of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, to declare 2023-2027 as the "Five Years of Action for the Development of Mountainous Areas. "Five Years of Action for the Development of Mountain Regions." As our country is a mountainous country, we attach great importance to the successful implementation of this initiative," Sadyr Japarov said.

He noted that in September this year we are planning to hold a high-level meeting on sustainable mountain development during the High-Level Week of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.

President Sadyr Zhaparov added that during this event he will propose a number of initiatives for the implementation of programs and projects that effectively protect the interests of mountain countries, solving the problems of mountain regions, programs for the creation of a fund for their development, for the prevention of natural disasters, sustainable energy and access to modern technology and innovation.

In her turn, the UN Deputy Secretary-General expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome and hospitality and conveyed the words of welcome from the UN Secretary-General António Guterres.

She briefly told the head of state about the goals of her visit, the main of which was to further develop cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the UN.

Amina Mohammed congratulated Sadyr Japarov on the 30th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's membership in the Organization.

The UN Deputy Secretary-General noted her satisfaction with Kyrgyzstan's work at the national, regional and global levels. She also supported Kyrgyzstan's efforts to peacefully resolve its dispute with the Canadian company Centerra Gold Inc.

In conclusion, Amina Mohammed expressed her hope for the participation of the Kyrgyz delegation headed by President Sadyr Japarov in the next conference of the parties on climate in November this year.

30 years of diplomatic relations between the Kyrgyz Republic and Britain: Boris Johnson sent a message

Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Boris Johnson sent a congratulatory message to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

“Over the past 30 years, the UK and the Kyrgyz Republic have worked together to develop an important partnership based on friendship and understanding. I am very pleased that today this cooperation covers the areas of security and defense, economic and human development, trade and culture,” the text says.

Foreign Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and China discussed the issue of lifting restrictions on mutual travel

In Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) during the third meeting of Foreign Ministers of the format "Central Asia - China" Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev and a member of the State Council, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi discussed a wide range of issues of Kyrgyz-Chinese relations. The ministers also discussed issues of promotion of projects on reconstruction of roads of Bishkek city and improvement of irrigation system of Kyrgyzstan at the expense of grant funds of the government of the People's Republic of China.

The parties agreed to make efforts to increase the volume of goods turnover and cargo flow at checkpoints on the Kyrgyz-Chinese state border.

The Chinese side noted the interest in importing organic agricultural products from Kyrgyzstan.

The issue of resumption of flights between the two countries and lifting restrictions on mutual travels of citizens was considered.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Minister of State for External Affairs of India Minakshi Lekhi

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev met with Minister of State for External Affairs of the Republic of India Meenakshi Lekhi during her working visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.

 

Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev congratulated Mrs. Meenakshi Lekhi on the eighth anniversary of the fruitful work of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party in India, of which the State Minister is an active member.

 

He also noted the rich and ancient culture of India, welcomed the intention of the Indian side to open a Yoga Institute in the Kyrgyz Republic and congratulated the guest with the upcoming International Day of Yoga, which is celebrated annually in the world on June 21.

 

Zheenbek Kulubayev stressed that the Kyrgyz-Indian relations are developing in a friendly and positive way, the parties are actively cooperating both bilaterally and multilaterally, implementing a number of joint projects. He also noted that the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India met in November 2021 on the margins of the UN Conference on Climate Change in Glasgow and agreed to hold mutual visits at the highest level.

 

The Kyrgyz Foreign Minister welcomed India's desire to intensify cooperation with Central Asian countries, including through the India-Central Asia Dialogue.

 

Indian Minister of State for External Affairs, Meenakshi Lekhi, for her part, appreciated the level of bilateral relations and expressed readiness of the Indian side to implement joint projects in Kyrgyzstan in various spheres.

 

Particular attention was paid to mutual cooperation in investment, medicine and tourism, as well as implementation of grant assistance projects in KR aimed at public development in trade and economic, scientific and technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

 

The parties agreed to continue to strengthen and develop Kyrgyz-Indian relations in all areas of bilateral cooperation, including through visits at the highest and highest levels.

Kyrgyz delegation actively promotes initiatives in water diplomacy and mountain development

Kyrgyzstan receives WHO award for contribution to tobacco control

Kyrgyzstan received the WHO Award for Outstanding Contribution to Combating Tobacco Use in the Country.

Every year, WHO awards organizations and individuals who promote and enforce tobacco control in the WHO European Region.

This year, a number of organizations and individuals from six countries - Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine and the United Kingdom - received the award.

The Kyrgyzstan people will be able to work in German medical institutions

At the forum "Migration and Development: Prospects and New Opportunities," Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic Kudaibergen Bazarbaev reported that Kyrgyz nationals will now be able to work in medical institutions in Germany.

In mid-May Kyrgyzstan signed an agreement under the EDUVISO program for employment of qualified foreign specialists in Germany.

Under the program, citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic can receive training in nursing at Kyrgyz educational institutions accredited by EDUVISO with further long-term employment in Germany. Citizens up to 35 years of age with a high school diploma in nursing or paramedics can participate in the program.

This year it is planned to send 250 specialists.

Agricultural machinery will be supplied from Germany to Kyrgyzstan. Agreements signed

As part of the German Economy Day business forum, two memorandums and two contracts for the supply of goods were signed. This is reported by the National Investment Agency.

Memorandums of understanding and cooperation were signed between the National Investment Agency and the representative office of the German economy in Central Asia, as well as with SAP Deutschland.

An agreement on the supply of agricultural machinery was signed between LLS "Aiyl Bank", the German company CLAAS Global Sales GmbH and LLC "Machine Tractor Station Standard Agroservice". In addition, an agreement on the supply of agricultural machinery was concluded between the public fund "Raiffeisen Cooperative Development Fund in Kyrgyzstan", the German company CLAAS Global Sales GmbH and LLC "Machine Tractor Station Standard Agroservice".

Sambo wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan won seven gold medals at the Asian Championships

Sambo wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan won 7 gold, 10 silver and 13 bronze medals at the Asian Championships in Lebanon.

The team ranked third in the overall standings.

The Kyrgyz sportsmаn’s win 27 medals at WKF karate tournament in Almaty

The Kyrgyz sportsman’s won 27 medals at the WKF Karate Tournament in Almaty.

The international tournament was held among children, cadets, juniors and adults. A total of 763 athletes from five countries - Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Azerbaijan took part in the competition.

The national team of Kyrgyzstan was represented by 68 people. Of them seven athletes won gold medals, eight won silver and 12 won bronze.

Kyrgyzstan is out of the Asian Cup regardless of the outcome of the game with Tajikistan

The Kyrgyz national soccer team advanced to the final part of the Asian Cup-2023.

The Kyrgyz team defeated Singapore 2-1, Myanmar 2-0 and drew with Tajikistan.

A new stadium will be built in Bishkek.

By order of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov the construction of a new stadium will begin in August 2022, it will be located in the south-western part of the capital.

It will be a modern multifunctional sports arena with a capacity of 22.5 thousand people.

The construction will be done by one of the leading European companies which have a long-term experience in the field.

The estimated construction period is two years.

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic
