On February 8, 2024, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine Idris Kadyrkulov held a meeting with Mr.Rostislav Karandeev, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.

Ukrainian side thanked the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine for the active promotion of the cultural heritage of Kyrgyzstan.

In honor of the 95^th anniversary of the birth of Chyngyz Aitmatov, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine translated into Ukrainian and published a collection of works by the great Kyrgyz writer. Also, a scientific and practical conference dedicated to Chyngyz Aitmatov was organized at the National Children's Library of Ukraine, with the participation of officials, the diplomatic corps, the Kyrgyz diaspora, local intelligentsia and others.

As a result of the meeting, in order to popularize the Kyrgyz cultural heritage, together with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, measures have been planned to translate Kyrgyz cinema into Ukrainian. At the first stage, film adaptations based on the works of Chyngyz Aitmatov are planned.
