In the period from 3 to 4 July 2018 in the CCI of Ukraine (Kiev, conference hall "Colosseum"), a Kyrgyz-Ukrainian business forum was held with the participation of representatives of more than 50 interested companies and state structures of Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine.

The event was organized with the support of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine in conjunction with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine.

The welcoming speech was delivered by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Ukraine Zh. Sh. Sharipov, Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine on European Integration A. Churkina, Deputy Head of the Department of International Trade and Economic Cooperation and European Integration of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine A.Melnichenko, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic M.D.Sharshekeev, Vice President of the CCI of Ukraine V.Korol, as well as representatives of business.

In his speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine Zh. Sharipov noted that the Kyrgyz-Ukrainian business forum was organized with the aim of supporting businessmen of Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine in the development and establishment of bilateral trade and economic relations. In turn, it will open great prospects for the search and cooperation of new investment partners, and will also initiate joint, fruitful projects. He also spoke about a stable, profitable business environment and reforms being carried out in Kyrgyzstan to promote business and entrepreneurship.

The Kyrgyz delegation was represented by 14 producers of agricultural, food, construction and light industries, who held talks with business partners of Ukraine on the prospects for bilateral cooperation.

Within the framework of the business forum, bilateral B2B meetings, a plenary session, as well as a number of thematic sections were held: "Agrarian branch", "Mechanical engineering", "Light industry", "Transport and logistics", "Chocolate and confectionery industry" and "Tourism". Also, the Kyrgyz delegation visited the enterprise TDV Vasilivske (horticulture, plant growing), dairy plant "ZhLK-Ukraine", as well as Belotserkov meat-processing enterprise of Ukraine.

From the Kyrgyz side, the participants were presented with videos on the economic and tourist potential, on the investment opportunities of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as on the upcoming Third World Nomadic Games, printed materials on investment and tourism opportunities of the country.
