From 3^rd of February to 5^th of February, 2020, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine together with the Representative Office of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Association of Light Industry Enterprises “Ukrlegprom” held the first Kyrgyz-Ukrainian business forum on light industry in the city of Vinnitsa.

Ambassador Zh. Sharipov in his welcoming address provided information on the investment climate, development of light industry in Kyrgyzstan and urged Ukrainian companies to actively invest in the national economy and open production enterprises together with Kyrgyz partners.

President-Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Association of Light Industry Enterprises "Ukrlegprom" T.Izovit made a presentation about the potential and development of light industry in Ukraine.

Participants also presented information and a presentation on the most promising light industry projects in Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine, the launch of which could be a successful start to a bilateral partnership.

B2B business meetings with Ukrainian entrepreneurs were organized. In order to familiarize and study the Ukrainian experience, Kyrgyz entrepreneurs visited the largest textile enterprises of the Vinnitsa region “Volodarka” and “Kalina”.

The participants of the business forum took part in the international exhibitions “Kyiv Fashion”, “Ukrainian Fashion Week”, which were held in Kyiv.

As a result of the business forum, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Business Association of the Kyrgyz Republic “JIA” and the Ukrainian Association of Light Industry Enterprises Ukrlegprom.
