On June 26, 2020, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine and the representative office of the CCI of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine together with the Bast Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, through video conferencing, held a consultation on cultivating technical hemp in Kyrgyzstan with interested business structures in the agricultural sector of Kyrgyzstan.

On June 26, 2020, the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine and the representative office of the CCI of the Kyrgyz Republic in Ukraine together with the Bast Institute of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, through video conferencing, held a consultation on cultivating technical hemp in Kyrgyzstan with interested business structures in the agricultural sector of Kyrgyzstan.

During the consultation, the Ukrainian side shared its scientific and practical experience in cultivating new varieties of sowing hemp with a low content of tetrahydrocannabinol (without a narcotic variety), technological aspects of growing, harvesting and processing crops, and also examined the legislative framework for its cultivation.

Particular attention was paid to the experience of the Ukrainian side in the study and creation of new hemp varieties that do not contain narcotic properties.

As a result of the consultation, an agreement was reached to exchange experiences and to consider opening a center in Bishkek for the development of seed production and a new agricultural crop.
