Information being received shows evidence of extremely tense military-political situation in Afghanistan. Thus, in the first half of 2018 and July and August of the same year, active combat between the Afghan National Army and the Taliban, ISIS, as well as other anti-government formations (the former IMU, Jundalla, the Islamic Jihad Union) continued throughout the country. In August 2018 there was a surge in the terrorist activities of these organizations, which resulted in the death of a large number of ANA, Afghan National Police and civilians.
