On Friday, 20th March, 2020, a telephone conversation between the Minister of  Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, His Excellency Chingiz Aidarbekov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, His Excellency Mohammad Javad Zarif, took place.
   During the telephone conversation, Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov congratulated his Iranian counterpart with Nouruz Eid and the New Year that started in Iran, and  wished to the people and Government of the friendly country more strength, patience and endurance in speedy overcoming of all difficulties caused by the COVID-19 epidemic in Iran.
   The Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan also expressed his gratitude to the Iranian part for providing assistance to Kyrgyz truck-drivers who found themselves in a difficult situation due to the closure of  borders by neighboring states after the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic in Iran, and also requested the kind assistance of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Dr. Mohammad Javad Zarif  in further facilitating an earliest returning to Kyrgyzstan of the Kyrgyz truck-drivers remaining in Iran, through a special corridor opened by the Governments of Azerbaijan, Russia and Kazakhstan.
