From 25 to 28 April in Qingdao, Shandong province, a trade and investment exhibition and forum of interregional trade and economic cooperation of the SCO took place. The organizers of the event were the People's Government of Qingdao, the China International Chamber of Commerce, the Shandong branch of the China Committee for the Promotion of International Trade and etc.

In the framework of this event, representatives of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in the PRC presented the investment climate and export opportunities of Kyrgyzstan. A national pavilion was organized, where products of Kyrgyz manufacturers (honey, kvass, energy drinks and alcoholic beverages) were presented. The participants and visitors of the exhibition showed great interest in the products of Kyrgyz manufacturers. Agreements have been reached between Kyrgyz companies and Chinese importers on the supply of the above products to the Chinese market.

In addition, during the forum, representatives of the Embassy met with the leaders of Shandong Province, heads of the China-SCO Pilot Zone and with a several of Chinese companies operating in the logistics, investment and trade spheres. The parties reached an agreement on joint work to increase the volume of exports of Kyrgyz products to China and provide conditions for Kyrgyz companies to enter the PRC market.

Considering the current situation with the coronavirus pandemic and its socio-economic consequences, the Embassy is making maximal efforts to use such platforms (including large online platforms) to promote the export of Kyrgyz products to the Chinese market and attract investment to the Kyrgyz economy. In this regard, the Embassy is ready to continue to provide assistance to interested companies of the Kyrgyz Republic in the entry of their products to the PRC market.
